First stop of the day Deer Abbey remains of a Cistercian monastery founded in 1219(view stop)

Aberdour beach boasts a beautiful singing shingle beach surrounded by cliffs and sandy beaches and also has a number of sandstone sea caves where the Jacobite Lord Pitsligo hid after the defeat of Bonnie Prince Charlie at the battle of Culloden. Aberdour was also the home of a local heroine Jane Whyte who helped to rescue the crew of a ship, which was wrecked in the bay. Then along to Pennan Village In the 1980's, Pennan rose from obscurity when it appeared in the film Local Hero. Starring Burt Lancaster. Heading to Delgatie Castle for Lunch(Lunch not included) or Tour of the Castle(Entry fee required), Glen Garioch Distillery for a distillery tour (Entry fee required).

Then returning to Aberdeen Tourist Information Centre.
